Kevin Kanarek
Manager of Online Content & Strategy

Kevin has worked as a writer, producer and content editor for AOL/Time Warner, Scholastic, the Center for Children and Technology, the American Natural History Museum. He has also developed educational content and curriculum for The The New School University and community technology centers.
He studied languages and literature at the State University of New York at Albany, and then worked as a technical writer and translator at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris. After completing his Master’s degree at New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) Kevin worked as an Educational Technology Consultant for the international publishing group Bertelsmann, focusing on media literacy, online publishing and project-based learning. In addition to his work for Green21, Kevin currently serves as Web Producer & Online Content Editor for www.childrenoftheamazon.com. The site was launched on Earth Day 2010 in conjunction with the broadcast of the film “Children of the Amazon” on PBS stations nationwide.
As Manager of Online Content & Strategy for Green21, Kevin contributes to the online strategy and grantwriting, and serves as project manager and content editor for the green21.org website.
